HeartCare

Genesis HeartCareGenesis HeartCare comprises the largest group of privately practicing cardiologists in Australia.

The network comprises 4 cardiology practices, with more than 20 metropolitan sites and 50 regional clinics seeing over 220,000 patients annually.

Heart disease is complex and the decisions around treatment are often not straight forward. In 2004, Genesis HeartCare commenced a pioneering journey to improve their systems for monitoring the care and outcomes of their patients as part of their commitment to evidence-based care. Nearly 6,000 patients are now enrolled in the Genesis HeartCare Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) database which comprises important data about the network's clinical practice and outcomes. This information is used to enable Genesis HeartCare to better understand the patient condition, care choices available, expected results of treatments and how patients can make lifestyle decisions to improve their health.
